More Thanksgiving Fun...

Will's preschool had a Thanksgiving Celebration on Wednesday...and I was NOT prepared...I was thinking it would be in their classroom with just his fellow classmates, with the small bits of food that the parents brought...oh my gosh! I walked in and the extra room they have for the whole school was completely decked out...it was GORGEOUS. I was soooo upset that I didn't have my camera, I had to settle for my phone. The pictures will absolutely not do this beautiful Thanksgiving display justice. The room was completely decorated with table cloths, flowers, pumpkin center pieces, scarecrows and a tremendous center table with two huge scrumptious turkey's just waiting to be carved. Each classroom wore different head-dresses, Will's class were the pilgrums, another was indians, etc. The feast was traditional with corn, mashed potatoes, turkey, rolls and even pie! Two of the older kids read Thanksgiving poems.

The weekend before Thanksgiving we went to the Encinitas Street Festival...they had vendors selling all their homemade products (lots of cute baby clothes!), yummy food and little kiddie rides. Will decided he wanted to go on the Froggy Hop, which is a kid version of the free fall...just small, like 8 or 9 feet. I couldn't believe Will wanted to go on it, everytime they let it "free fall" Will let out a little yelp. It was helarious. The kids got their faces painted too, well, Will didn't want it on his cheeks so it went on his hands. I took a pic of the palm trees b/c they were just so pretty, I couldn't believe how gorgeous the weather was just a few days before Thanksgiving.

We spent Thanksgiving with some friends who live down the street from us, they had a few family members in town on Thanksgiving but most weren't going to be there till Saturday so we just did a casual fun thanksgiving dinner...there were lots and lots of kids though so Will and Molly had soooo much fun. I didn't really see Will the entire evening. This is the same family we spent Halloween with...Will loves hanging out with Timmy. Emily (Timmy's mom) had her girls make the adorable place cards.

The day after Thanksgiving my dad and step-mom came to visit us. We were so excited to see them! It was only for a few short hours, but it was wonderful!! I planned a very special outfit for Molly to wear just for Grandma Karen. She had bought Molly adorable black "high heels" so I dressed Molly up in her pretty dress from my mom and fancied her up in Karen's high heels, she looked sooooooooo cute! After visiting for a bit we loaded up the car (or the family fun bus as I like to call it) and went to lunch at the beach.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Where have we been?! I know I haven't posted in awhile...I just...haven't been in the mood. Not sure why...I know exactly what I want to post about...I just haven't, wanted to. But I will get there, I will. :-) We've been busy and then the whole family got sick, and now we are all getting back to the land of the living...anyway, I was going to keep it a surprise for everyone...but now it's been a little long for that. The week of my birthday (yes, way back in the beginning of Nov.) my mom and Ken were here for a week...and we all went to...DISNEYLAND!
Yes...we took Will and MOlly to Disneyland for the first time. And it was amazing! I have lots of very fun pictures, I couldn't have imagined a better "first time trip." It was truly...magical! :-) I WILL get those pictures up, I promise! Plus I will add some Thanksgiving festivities...
I hope everyone has a beautiful, loving, joyful Thanksgiving. Molly and Will's "hand and feet" turkeys (hands are feathers, feet are the body), made for Papa Bill and Grandma Karen.

Halloween Activities

For moving to a city where we didn't know anybody, we sure had a lot of fun this Halloween! Below are all of our fun Fall Festivities:
It all started with a Halloween party at LaCosta Canyon Park, hosted by the Mom's group I joined, LaCosta Moms:
Next, Will helped me decorate Halloween cookies, and he really got into it, he was very precise and even figured out how to outline each cookie with the frosting and he enjoyed a few sprinkles while he was at it too...
Again...he concentrated so much on carving his pumpkin, very precise.
The Henley Jack O'Lanterns:
Next was a Halloween party at Will's preschool, they did a little parade around to different shops. The first pic is Will's teacher, she was a pirate.
I couldn't resist, Molly looked so cute holding on to this chair.
Next, Will's school had a field trip to a local "Pumpkin Station." They have pumpkin's and rides, kind of like a carnival, but really small. Will was soooooooooo excited that he got to ride a school bus by himself, like "big kids do." I couldn't believe my little boy was getting on a school bus without me...he's all growsed up. :-)

Will was watching a mom with a baby....he looks mad, but it was actually very sweet.
Will and Stefan had to wait another time to get on the train...but it was worth it, they got to be the conductors and ring the bell.
I could not believe that Will climbed right on this ride, Rocketships, or Spaceships. Usually he sees rides like this and wants to do it but then when we get up there, he won't go near it. He didn't even hesitate, and had so much fun the whole time.

Next, we got invited to a "Trunk or Treat" by one of our neighbors, who has a boy Will's age. People decorate their cars for Halloween and give out candy from the trunk of their cars, you trick or treat to each car.
No Molly's not walking but every once in awhile, she will walk a little while she holds our hand.
Will and Timmy, "Best Buddies." :-)
Timmy was a karate boy, so he kept doing all these karate moves and Will would copy him, but Will didn't get that the moves were part of the costume...it was pretty funny.
One car gave candy after you golfed in to a "dog house" and over the doghouse was a bone that said what you had to do...Will golfed into "do some hula hooping" so the guy put the hula hoop around him and Will just stared at him, like "what are you doing, where's my candy?!"
My mom and Ken are here this week to celebrate Halloween and my birthday. Every year my mom buys the kids books that are related to their costume, so of course Will got a Toy Story book.
Lady as a Ladybug...I know she looks miserable, but she really didn't mind it. She really looks so cute. :-)
And True Halloween begins, my mom gives out the first trick or treat candy for the kiddo's bags.
Our neighborhood was HOPPING, kids everywhere! Here's Will going up to a house in the middle of a line of kids.
Molly trying to convince me to let her have a lollipop.
