Molly turns 10 months

My Molly Sofia turned 10 months old on the 17th...I can't believe we are thinking about her 1 year birthday (and it will be celebrated in California!!!) And yes, she's 10 1/2 months old now and STILL has no teeth. :-) She is such a lover, she snuggles all the time, she's a good baby, a happy girl. She's realized she can follow her brother any where, and loves it, although I don't think he does. :-) She's not walking, but crawls really fast, and loves to stand and walk holding on. She loves the stairs too, if we leave the gate open, she's out and up the stairs before you know it. She's figured out that she can get plenty to eat by feeding herself with her fingers, so she starts "fitting" as soon as she sees the spoon. She's still desperately attached to me...anytime a new person walks in to the room and says hi to her, she starts crying b/c she thinks I'm leaving. We think she's starting to figure out Mama & Dada too, she says them all the time, but I think she's understanding who that is. She's the cutest, most snuggly baby. I love her SO much!

Happy 10 Month Birthday, Punkin!

This was at our friend Ava's 4th birthday party, it was at a "Jump Planet" type place, Jeremy put Molly inside one of the bouncy houses...look at that nervous face!

Don't worry Molly, Big Brother Will to the rescue!

Molly does A LOT of this lately...not much drooling, but that tongue is sticking out all the time.

The stare down...bashful Lady looks away first.

These are some of the cutest pictures ever...Molly on Riley's horse at his 1st birthday party, she kept giving it "snuggles." It was soooo sweet with her little self and cute pink dress. (See video at end of post.) I love this picture, such a sweet smile, in her birthday cake pink dress and sparkly earrings!

Molly plays with my keys while brother Will plays soccer.

Impromptu play date with our neighbors Amy and Samantha, Sami and Molly are about two months apart. They are so cute when they play together, and Will is very sweet with them.

This is the video of Molly riding Riley's horse, she loved it so much...we might have to get one for her. :-)

A Little More Detail about Our Happenings

So last weekend we, Jeremy, myself and Molly, flew to San Diego to get a better idea of what city and neighborhoods we would like to live in. Will stayed home with Grandma, which we felt guilty about but really it was a much better deal for him b/c we spent 9am-5pm in the car all three days, he would have gone nuts. He had a lot more fun with Grandma believe me. Molly was a rock star, didn't complain one bit, she did great on the plane, ate and slept well and once in CA, she ate breakfast at the hotel, got in the car, fell asleep, woke up, ate lunch, got in the car, fell asleep, repeat...times three days. AND she slept perfectly in the adorable crib the hotel had for us. We did manage to get in a couple minutes of pool time before dinner a few of the days. We narrowed down the areas we liked and had a pretty successful weekend. It was very stressful but successful. Here's how it all panned out...

Jeremy had to be out of town for work 2 days before we left for CA, so I was taking care of the kids and trying to think about packing...he calls and says there is a family that wants to come look at our house...Friday night! (Jeremy gets home Friday, we leave at 4am Saturday morning) So now, I'm taking care of the kids, packing AND scrubbing the house like mad to get it "showable." We get it all done, they come, their two kids have a blast playing with Will...we walk them through and talk at the end about how we are leaving for SD in the morning, but just give us a call sometime over the weekend and let us know what they think about the house. They say, okay and leave. An hour later, they call and say they want it!! Our minds are REELING!! Now we have our trip to think about with much more intensity b/c we really need a place to live and we have to think about our terms and writing up the contract, and having the lawyer draft the final contract. We're using a lawyer b/c we decided to sell the house ourselves. The market drove the value of our house down so much that we wanted to save a few bucks if we could and sell it without having to pay commission. Once we get home from our trip, we write up our terms, meet with them, they agree, lawyer writes up the contract, we meet with the notary and the rest is history. :-) They move in, we move out, August 19/20th. We're going to be staying with family until September 5th b/c my brother is getting married. So we'll be Washingtonians until then, then we'll be Californians! We're flying down to SD again next weekend to do more house searching. This time we'll concentrate on going in to as many homes as we can and actually picking one. Some of you have been asking about Will and what he thinks about all this. We haven't said much to him until the last week or so b/c initially there was no end in sight, we had no idea how long it would take to sell our house. So we've started talking about people buying our house so we can move to a house in CA, and I don't remember how it happened but Will is always talking about what is "attached" and staying here and what is "detached" and coming with us. He understands that California is far away and that you have to fly on a plane to get there. He remembers this from our trip to SD and Seaworld back in February. During that trip, the hotel had "colored cheerios" (Fruit Loops), so Will is always saying we should go to California to get some colored cheerios. I think it is so cute and I don't want him eating Fruit Loops all the time, so I haven't had the heart to tell him you can buy them in Washington too. So when Jeremy goes to CA on business....he brings back colored cheerios. :-)

4th of July at Nana and Papa's

4th of July was a fun filled day from dawn till dusk. The day started with a parade downtown, then Jeremy and Uncle Derek took the big kids out on the boat, and then Uncle Derek brought out the fireworks for the older kids to enjoy...He had a bunch of sparklers which the girls loved, and I think Will liked watching them but he would not go near them. I thought he would hold one like the other big kids, but he was not moving out of his chair. Granted, the poor kid was completely exhausted, he'd been playing hard for a few days, had a huge day on the 4th and skipped nap to go on the boat. So he kind of looked like a zombie watching the fireworks. He liked the sparklers but then Derek got some small ones out that made a little noise and a few pops. Will was okay with that for a bit and then all of a sudden, he jumped out of his seat, ran up the steps and inside the house. We all just kind of looked at each other like, "what the heck is he doing?" I followed him inside and found him crying and saying, "I'm all done, I don't want the fireworks anymore." It was so sad but so sweet at the same time, the poor boy was just so tired. We had a wonderful day though! Enjoy all the pics, there are so many good ones!!
Molly all smiles with Daddy at the parade.
You're so cool big brother...
Will, you're so cute.
Will, Brooklyn and Bella watching the parade.
Molly enjoying the sounds of the parade, she's clap clap clapping and hiding in the shade.

Going for a ride on Daddy's shoulders, watching the parade.
Brieyn and Cool Will...
Look at those blue eyes...
Lovable cousins.
The next two pics are my favorites of Molly...thanks Aunt Christa for taking these!

Will and Bella watching a movie before fireworks, they're both so zoned out...
Brooklyn, Bella and Will, I think Will was hiding from the fireworks.
Will watching the sparklers, his eyes are so glossy!
Almost asleep on Papa, the perfect place to end a busy, funfilled day.

Nana and Papa's House

We spent 5 days at Nana and Papa's house (Jeremy's mom and dad, Randy and Nancy) over the 4th of July weekend. We do this every year and I look forward to it every year. It's a wonderful time b/c it's like we are going on vacation since they live in a resort town (Coeur d'Alene, Idaho) but it doesn't include the stress and guilt of spending money on hotels, airfare and eating out for every meal. Nancy spoils us with amazing food, hospitality and fun fun fun for the kiddo's. There is always soooo much to do while we are visiting them. In the winter it is snow snow snow, sledding, a warm, cozy house and comfort food. In the spring/summer it is parks, water, boating and playing outside. And this year, for the first time, fishing!! We brought Will's "Cars" fishing rod and Papa found the perfect place for "3 year old" fishing...little fish you throw back, but they bite again and again (lots of reinforcement :-) not much of the sitting around that you usually do when fishing). Will caught FOUR fish!! You'll see from the pictures that they were really little fish, like 4 or 5 inches, but Jeremy took a picture on his phone first and sent it to us, it was up really close, so the fish looked like it was bigger than Will. Nancy and I could not believe Will caught a fish so big, we found out later it was only inches. Another first for Will is that he went out on Uncle Derek's boat, He's been on Nana and Papa's boat lots but never been on a "speed boat." He played in the water with his toes and then he was the first one to JUMP OFF THE BOAT INTO THE WATER!!! :-) Unfortunately we have no pics of that, but I guess he had an amazing time with his cousins on the boat. The next day Nancy and I took Will and Molly to the city park. There's a huge playground, lots of grass, picnic tables and the best part...a beach and water. I didn't realize this though and was completely unprepared...no swim clothes, no sand toys. Nancy found Will a huge stick to play with in the sand and luckily I had extra clothes, so we still had fun. We also went to this park and beach with Jeremy's brother and his family, Derek, Christa, Brooklyn, Bella, Brieyn and Bradyn. Will loves these girls to death. He is so proud of all of his cousins (or friends as he calls them sometimes). Will and Bella are super cute together, like big sister, little brother. And Will and Brieyn might as well be twins, not b/c they look alike but b/c they play so well together...she just lets him chase and chase her and tackle her to the ground, she laughs and gets up again. Thank goodness these girls know how to "hang" with a boy. Sometimes I wish we had this much activity all the time b/c Will slept like a rockstar!!! He took 3 hour naps, went to bed early and slept till 8am the last day there and first few days home. Then I realize I'd be exhausted too. :-) Enjoy the pics and I will post again with the 4th of July festivities....
Will riding his trike in the driveway, the wind is making his 4th of July pinwheel turn.
Practicing casting and reeling with Papa.
And the waiting begins....
So serious....
I got one, I got one! Reel it in! "Do I reel it?"
Will's proud moment, his first fish!
Nana and Will eating lunch at the picnic table at the city park.
Molly's first experience with the beach. First I let her feel the sand and water, then sat her down in it, I thought she would freak, but she had a good time!
Nana and Will with his sand stick.
Molly in what I call her "Coeur d'Alene"outfit, so cute with boats and bows.
Molly and Bradyn, I think it's funny that Bradyn is sitting back, just hanging out, sucking her thumb and Molly is leaning forward, saying get me out of this thing!
Will and Brieyn playing baseball. I was scared to death Will was going to clock her with the ball.
Molly playing with blades of grass and reading a book.
I think these pics are so funny...Will and Brieyn eating oreo's...first one, they are shoving it in their mouth and the second one, cheeks full of oreo...sooo cute.Molly's new habit...enjoying the beach while sucking her thumb...
Will playing on the beach.
Molly is more intersted in her daddy than the ocean.
Enjoying the sun, sand and surf.
